Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin might never call for a traditional point after attempt ever again.
The Steelers converted two two-point conversion attempts after their first two touchdowns in the first half Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
After a third touchdown, Tomlin made the so-called conservative decision and sent new kicker Josh Scobee out for a 33-yard PAT – and the kicker missed.
It was another rough moment for Scobee after he missed a pair of field goal attempts in the Steelers’ Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. The Steelers traded with the Jacksonville Jaguars for Scobee on Aug. 31 after two other Pittsburgh kickers were injured.
Scobee converted his PAT after the Steelers' fourth touchdown but barely made it inside the left bar.
Pittsburgh might need to keep searching for a new kicker – or maybe Tomlin will just never call for another kick again.
